«Readiness» potentials and their relationship with late positive components of event related visual potentials

Late positive components of visual event related potentials are interpreted taking into account their comparison with readiness potentials in which the synchronization for the backwards averaging is determined by the beginning of the motor response. After showing the wave form simmilarity of both types of potentials, a cross-correlation procedure was used to retrieve the effective reaction time for each subject, using as indicators only these two types of brain potentials — ERPs. and «Readness Potentials». Inferences are drawn about the relationship between motor interaction with the environment and cognition both in the J. Piaget's and in the H. Wallon's viewpoints.
