Relational organization of human adaptation — II. The span, the ambiguity and the social structure of the situation

Summary

Analysis of the way human subjects organize themselves to try to couple their actual interventions and projects together with environmental changes, requires the consideration of a complex ensemble of structures and variables, as well as rules of dynamic interaction. The way individuals react to ambiguous material which may prove in the long run to be irrelevant, and the influence of the time span which is involved in human interaction with the environment is for instance connected to simple initial visual or more complex audio-visual solicitations which occur within social interactions. Interpersonal relationships may be anticipated or remembered by eliciting meanningful material over which subjects may reconstruct a course of events which relate two time epochs and their characteristic attributes. Many relationships which are used to thematize human experience may be retrivied using meanningful synchronic eliciting material or else disachronic data which are interconnected by complex relationships which undergo an unfolding process in time. In another note we tried to find relationship which appear in subjects' account of them during a long lasting life time span and on the other hand the way they are connected with relevant but short lasting solicitations consisting of interpersonal relationships. Here we relate interpersonal data with very short lasting solicitations which were made using visual material.
